Lahore: Man gets rid of property-partner sister
LAHORE: The News reported on Wednesday that a 24-year-old divorced woman was shot dead by her brother over a property dispute in the jurisdiction of Shahdara police on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Nazia, a resident of Chira Stop, Shahdara. Police said the victim had been living with her parents after divorce for the past few months.
Her father Rab Nawaz gave one of his properties to Nazia due to which Akram, the victim’s elder brother, was not happy.
Akram threatened his sister that he would kill her if she did not transfer that property in his name.
On the day of the incident, Akram along with three ex-brothers-in-law of Nazia came to his house and again asked her to sign the property papers but she refused to do so.
Upon which, he allegedly shot her twice and fled. She was rushed to hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
Police have registered a murder case against Akram and three others on the complaint of the victim’s father with no arrest so far. The body was shifted to morgue for autopsy.
