ISLAMABAD: As reported by The News on Thursday, the Islamabad Police have arrested nine persons from various parts of the city in connection with their alleged involvement in immoral activities, bootlegging and recovered liquor and illegal weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said on Wednesday.
Sub-Inspector Shah Nazar of the Golra Police Station arrested a man identified as Ali Akbar after recovery of stolen Rs10,000 from his possession.
Assistant Sub-Inspector Umer Hayat of the Nilore Police Station arrested an accused Nizam Asif and recovered looted items worth Rs60,000 from his possession.
Assistant Sub-Inspector Qaisar Mehmud of the Aabpara Police Station arrested Nisar Bhatti after recovery of two bottles of liquor from him.
ASI Shahid Zaman of the Koral Police Station arrested Raja Asim Saeed during routine patrolling for having a 30-bore pistol and nine rounds.
Meanwhile, Sub-Inspector Arshad Mehmud arrested five persons identified as Rehmat Ullah, Ghulam Baqir, Tahira Ayub, Nadia and Samia for their alleged involvement in immoral activities.
