GHALANAI: As reported by the Dawn News on Thursday, two militants were killed and as many injured in exchange of fire with security forces in different areas of Mohmand Agency on Wednesday.
Local and official sources said that militants attacked a security post in Ghanam Shah area of Tehsil Baizai near the Afghan border.
However, security personnel manning the checkpost repulsed the attack, they said. A militant identified as Amir Nawaz was killed in exchange of fire, they added.
Another group of militants opened fire on a patrolling party of security personnel. However, the security men escaped unhurt.
A militant identified as Hamza was killed and two others wounded when security personnel returned fire.
Militants also fired rockets on Bhai Dag FC Camp in Tehsil Baizai. No casualty was reported in the attack.
