Sanghar: 4 released from illegal custody
SANGHAR: The Dawn News reported on Thursday, the civil judge and judicial magistrate of Shahdadpur raided Maldesi police post on Wednesday and recovered four persons illegally detained there.
They were identified as Sohbat, Ghulam Qadir, Deedar and Hussain Bux, all Umrani by caste.
Mohammad Urs Umrani had filed an application with the district and sessions judge that Shahdadpur police had picked up his four relatives, apprehending that police might kill them in a fake encounter.
The judge ordered the judicial magistrate to raid the police station and recover the four persons.
Officials at the police station told the magistrate that they had been picked up for providing food to dacoit Kaloo Rind and his accomplices.
Mohammad Urs confessed to the charge, saying that the dacoit demanded food at gunpoint and they did it to save their lives.
The four men, kept at Maldesi police post without any record, were freed by the magistrate.
