Tribal elders torch 16 houses of militants
KHAR: As reported by the Dawn News on Thursday, the houses of 16 wanted militants were torched by tribal lashkar with the support of security forces in Tehsil Warh Mamond after expiry of deadline for their surrender on Wednesday.
Sources said hundreds of volunteers of Mamond Tribal Lashkar backed by security forces during an action set on fire houses of 16 wanted militants.
The owners of the houses were identified as Chaman, Monasab Khan, Abdul Wahab, Fazal, Shah Wali, Zar Saeed, Qadar Khan, Shamay, Mohammad Zamin, Jaffar Khan, Mano Khan, Saeed, Ismail, Khan Bacha and Bakht Ali.
The lashkar carried out the operation in Loe and Lworh Kharkai areas.
The government had set a deadline to the tribal elders to hand over wanted militants to it. The lashkar took action after expiry of the deadline.
The lashkar was led by Malak Hafzur Rehman, Saeedur Rehman, Pur Dal and other tribal elders.
