Quetta: 5 shot dead over tribal feud
QUETTA: As reported by the Dawn News on Saturday, five people were shot dead in Dashat area of Mastung District and Quetta’s Sariab Road on Friday.
Sources said that some armed men who came on a pick-up intercepted a Sibi-bound van near Dashat and opened fire on four people after ordering them off the vehicle.
Three people died on the spot and one was injured. The assailants escaped. Police took the bodies and the injured to the Civil Hospital.
Police said the dead men belonged to the Lango tribe and the cause of the attack could be a tribal enmity.
In another incident, twin brothers were gunned down while they were standing outside a music centre in the Sariab Road area.
The deceased were identified as Abdul Hadi Lehri and Abdul Mutlib Lehri.
Police said that two armed men came on a motorcycle and opened fire on them.
