Islamabad: Corrupt foreign officer jailed for 1-yr
ISLAMABAD: According to the Dawn News, Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has sacked G. R. Baloch, an officer of the Foreign Service of Pakistan, after he was convicted by an accountability court in a case.
Mr Baloch was found involved in unlawfully issuing passports by misusing his authority during his posting at the Pakistan Consulate in Houston, United States. He was sentenced by the Accountability Court, Rawalpindi, to one-year rigorous imprisonment and fined Rs10,000.
