Karachi: Girl’s body found in Baloch Colony
KARACHI: As reported by The News on Tuesday, the body of a teenage girl with a bullet wound in the head, was found lying inside her house in the Manzoor Colony area, on Monday morning.
The body of Shumaila, daughter of Shakeel, was found within the Baloch Colony police limits.
They added that on a tip-off, the police headed for the house, where they met with the family members including the father, Shakeel, who took them to the first floor of the house, where they had found body of Shumaila lying on the floor, and had one single bullet wound on her head.
Initially, they thought that she had committed suicide, but during the search of the rooftop they had found a handgun packed in the plastic bag.
On questioning Shakeel, the father of deceased girl, told the police that, on Monday morning, he asked his daughter to prepare a cup of tea for him, she went up stairs.
In the meantime, just after five to six minutes they heard the sound of gunfire, they immediately went upstairs where they found Shumaila lying dead on the floor.
The police said that deceased’s father also possessed a licensed handgun.
Suspicion also fell on the family as the police found no escape route for any suspect. A case was registered and investigation is underway.
