Bomb blast damages police van in Quetta
QUETTA: As reported by Daily Times on Wednesday, a police van, patrolling the western bypass on the outskirts of Quetta, was damaged in a remote controlled blast, Daily Times learnt on Tuesday.
According to sources, unidentified persons had planted an explosive device along the roadside near the Akhtarabad area in the western bypass and detonated it when a police mobile of the Shalkot Police Station passed by.
The vehicle was partially damaged in the blast, however no casualties had been reported. Security forces and police rushed to the spot soon after the incident and cordoned off the area.
