Karachi: Grenade attack kills 1, hurt 2
KARACHI: As reported by The News on Wednesday, a man was killed while two others were injured in a hand grenade attack reported on an empty plot in Mauripur on late Tuesday night.
Zubair, 25, died while Akhtar Shah and Talat Hussain were injured in the Kalri police limits.
SP Lyari Town Rana Pervez Mehmood said that the incident took place on an empty plot near the Crown Cinema on main Mauripur Road.
He said that unidentified armed men riding a motorcycle came over and threw a hand grenade on an empty plot situated at short distance from the cinema due to which three persons got injured.
They were taken to the hospital where Zubair succumbed to his injuries. The deceased was the resident of the same area.
SP Mehmood said that investigation revealed that a few months back a quarrel took place between the parties during the construction at the said plot. Investigation is underway.
