Karachi: Political rally attacked in Quaidabad
KARACHI: As reported by the Daily Times on Wednesday, a rally of the Mohajir Qaumi Movement-Haqiqi (MQM-H, Afaq Group) was attacked by unidentified persons in the Quaidabad locality on Tuesday.
Condemning the firing incident, MQM-H general secretary Nadeemul Islam said unidentified culprits opened fire on the rally when it was returning from the Karachi Press Club, where workers had protested against the detention of their party chief Afaq Ahmed.
Islam said three activists Nabeel Ahmed, Kashif and Shahid sustained bullet wounds while at least four activists went missing, who might have been kidnapped by a rival political party.
