Lahore: Couple staying at hotel tortured by police
LAHORE: As reported by the Pakistan Observer on Wednesday, police high handedness continues as cops tortured a couple staying at a hotel near Nolakha Police Station of Lahore during a search.
According to hotel administration Noulakha police headed by an ASI on Monday night raided the hotel and demanded search of the people staying in the hotel.
The police barged into the room hired by a couple hailing from district Mansehra. The couple was asked for search of their luggage and their room and upon resistance police tortured them. The victims Niaz Muhammad and his wife Wisana blamed that police tortured to force them admit that they were not husband and wife.
The police torture victim couple has appealed the Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif taking notice of the police’s highhandedness.
