1825 cops, FIA men killed in terror war
ISLAMABAD: As reported by the Pakistan Observer on Thursday, with sacrificing 1825 of their men the capital police and FIA have walked down the path where they have started to win back confidence of the people in their daunting task of countering a wave of terror across the country.
Over the last few years, more than 1825 personnel of police and FIA have laid down their lives in the fight against terrorism but their resolve and sense of duty to the nation remain unshaken, a top official from Interior Ministry said.
Police have added a golden chapter in their history, written with blood of their martyrs and as many as 1825 police officers and Jawans of the capital died in line of duty combating terrorists.
The source said that martyred police officers in Pakistan include 23 from Islamabad police, 17 from Federal Investigation Agency, eight from Motorway and Railway police, 385 from Punjab police, 155 from Sindh police, 182 from Balochsitan police, 904 from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police, 9 from Gilgit Baltistan police and 3 from AJK police.
