Karachi: Court acquits man in attempted murder case
KARACHI: According to the Dawn News on Thursday, a sessions court on Wednesday acquitted an accused in an attempted murder case for want of evidence.
Ghulam Sarwar along with his absconding accomplices was charged with attacking a police party in July 2005 within the remit of the Solider Bazaar police station.
Additional district and session judge (east) Sanaullah Ghory in his verdict observed that the prosecution failed to prove its case as the accused was not arrested from the spot identified by the prosecution rather officials of another police station arrested him. Besides, no weapon was found in the custody of the accused.
