Karachi: Brigand awarded 4 years jail
KARACHI: As reported by The News on Friday, Additional District and Sessions Judge (ADSJ) East Sanaullah Ghori awarded four years imprisonment to a dacoit in a car theft case.
The convict would also have to pay Rs15,000. In case of default he would have to undergo an additional six months term.
The judge found Tasadduq Hussain guilty of snatching a vehicle at gunpoint from Sohail-ud-din in the year 2005 within the jurisdiction of Sharea Faisal police station in the month of July.
The Anti-Violence Crime Cell (AVCC) police arrested the convict along with the vehicle on July 14 after a brief police encounter.
It is worth mentioning here that the other suspects Shahbuddin, Shakil Shah, Raquib and Mumtaz were also arrested. They were already acquitted by the court after serving two years imprisonment.
