Lahore: Cousin’s vehicle dispute leads to fatal shooting
LAHORE: As reported by The Nation on Friday, a youth, with the help of two accomplices, gunned down his cousin on refusal to return a Mazda car in Shahdara Police Station area in the wee hours on Thursday. The deceased was identified as Jehangir, resident of Chowk Aashiqabad at Wahdat Road.
Sources close to the police investigators said Jehangir had purchased a Mazda from his uncle Munawar couple of years back for Rs 6,50,000. “Tasavur, a cousin of the deceased, was forcing his cousin to return Mazda but Jehangir asked him to give the amount that he paid and take back his Mazda,” investigators said.
They said that both the cousins also quarrelled over this dispute some months back but the elders from both sides settled the issue.
Tasavur along with his two unidentified accomplices opened indiscriminate fires on Jehangir when he was on his way to home from an Ice Factory.
As a result Jehangir suffered severe injuries. The locals shifted the wounded man to a nearby hospital where the doctors pronounced him dead. The accused, however, managed to flee from the crime scene.
Later, an Edhi ambulance shifted the body to the City morgue for autopsy. Police have also registered a murder case under section 302 of Pakistan Penal Code against three accused with no arrest till filing of this report. Further investigation is underway.
