Islamabad: Jeweller killed on way home from shop
ISLAMABAD: As reported by the Dawn News on Monday, a jeweller was shot dead on Sunday in Shahzad Town, police said. Amir Mehmood, 30, was leaving for home when he was shot dead by unknown gunman, who fled the scene.
Abdul Waheed, sub-inspector who is leading the investigation, said the victim, owner of a jewellery shop in Farooq Plaza, was leaving for his home in Kalar Syedian.
He said the jeweller was shot twice in chest with 30 bore pistol while another bullet hit his head. However, he said that it was not a robbery attempt as nothing was missing from the victim’s pockets. Amir’s body was shifted to Pakistan Institute for Medical Sciences (Pims) for postmortem.
