Karachi: 2 found shot dead in garbage dump
KARACHI: As reported by the Dawn News on Saturday, the two trussed-up bodies of young men found dumped in Nazimabad late on Friday night have been identified as that of members of the Lyari Aman Committee. The bodies were found at a garbage dump near the Inquiry Office in Nazimabad No 2.
The victims were blindfolded and shot in the head from a close range. One victim was wearing shirt and trousers and the other was clad in shalwar kameez, police said. After receiving information about the bodies, police arrived at the scene and shifted them to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for a postmortem examination.
Police said the two men were kidnapped in the limits of the Garden police station, shot dead at some unknown place and later their bodies were dumped in Nazimabad.
Police said it was during a loadshedding spell that the bodies were dumped there by unknown persons. Police said two men were identified as Salman, 26, son of Abdul Lateef, and Shaukat, 28, son of Khuda Bakhsh. Police said both victims were friends and worked at an iron-casting shop in Azeempura.
