Lahore: Cop killed over old enmity
LAHORE: As reported by the Dawn News on Monday, a police constable was allegedly shot dead by four men over an old enmity in Baghbanpura police remits on Sunday. Constable Muhammad Ashraf left his Mahmood Booti residence on Bund Road for his workplace. Some four armed men intercepted him near his residence, shot at him and fled. Ashraf was rushed to hospital but died on the way.
Quoting family of the deceased, police said he had differences over some issues with Mushtaq Jutt. The family alleged that Jutt in connivance with three other armed men killed Ashraf over an enmity.
The police shifted body of the deceased to the city morgue for autopsy and registered a case against the alleged killers with no arrest.
