Dadu: Rs 1m looted from Medical Store
DADU: As reported by the Dawn News on Tuesday, the owner of a medical store has claimed that he was deprived of one million rupees from his outlet at the hands of unidentified men on Monday. Robbers looted Osama Medicos after making hostage the owner and his employee.
Shopkeepers of the area pulled their shutters down soon after the incident and held protest demonstrations at the DPO Chowk and press club.
Protesters were led by President, Chamber of Commerce, Ghulam Shah Malkani and owner of the medical store, Ramzan Arain. Ramzan Arain said that robbers held him and his employee Jahangir hostage at gunpoint and looted one million rupees in cash. He said that police were informed but they reached the shop late.
Ghulam Shah Malkani said that law and order in Dadu town has worsened as robbers were looting shopkeepers and police reluctant to take any action. He threatened to call for shutter-down strike if looted money was not recovered within 24 hours.
