ISLAMABAD: As reported by The News on Thursday, the BA degree of a PML-N member Pir Nizamuddin Sialvi was proved to be fake, on Wednesday, a private TV channel reported on Wednesday.
In a statement submitted at the Lahore High Court by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), it was confirmed that the degree of Pir Nizamuddin, elected at PP-37 Sargodha, was fake.
The HEC said that the degree was not even verified by the seminary from where it had been acquired. A voter of PP-37 Tariq Mehmood filed a plea in the court contending that Pir’s degree was fake. Justice Sheikh Ahmed Farooq adjourned the case till November 2.
