Rawalpindi: Youth killed by friends
RAWALPINDI: As reported by the Dawn News on Thursday, a young man was allegedly shot dead by his friends here on Wednesday. One of the alleged killers brought the victim to Benazir Bhutto Hospital (BBH) and escaped. Later, doctors pronounced him dead.
One of the alleged killers nominated in the murder case by the father of the deceased is the son of a former union council nazim. However, none of the alleged killers has been arrested so far.
Mohammad Rehan, 18, son of Dr Mohammad Sarfraz, a psychiatrist and former casualty medical officer (CMO) at District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital, was brought to the Benazir Bhutto Hospital at around 3am by one of his friends identified as Saadullah. On his arrival, the doctors pronounced Rehan dead.
The man who brought the injured to the BBH was handed over to the local police. Doctors said he seemed to be under the influence of alcohol and was carrying a pistol. But he managed to escape from the police custody.
