Karachi: Rs2mn robbery in bank ATM
KARACHI: The Daily Times reported on Friday that the First Information Report (FIR) of a robbery from an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) has been registered against unidentified suspects, Mithadar police said on Thursday.
The robbers had stolen Rs2 million in the wee hours of Monday from the ATM of a local bank situated on the II Chundrigar Road.
One of the bank’s personnel might have been involved in the robbery, as neither an ATM card was used to steal the money nor was the ATM damaged in any way.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) might be asked to help solve the cyber crime.
An FIR No 378/2010 has been registered against unidentified culprits on the complaint of the bank’s branch manager.
