LAHORE: As reported by The News on Friday, the Defence-A police on Thursday booked the former husband of film actress Noor Bukhari on her father’s complaint for threatening her of murder.
Sources said that the Defence-A police received a complaint from Shahid Hussain, which stated that his daughter film actress Noor had contracted marriage with Farooq Maingle about a year back.
He in his complaint further stated that Noor on request of Farooq Maingle started working as a producer and actress in a drama serial namely “Kasha-e-Dil”.
Both contracted marriage after coming close to each other while producing the aforementioned drama.
He in his complaint further claimed that Farooq Maingle after contracting marriage took the marriage certificate in his custody in order to get it registered, which he never returned.
He said that later after Farooq Maingle divorced his daughter and when she demanded her money back which she had invested while producing the aforementioned drama, Farooq started threatening her of dire consequences.
The police on Shahid’s complaint registered a case against Farooq Maingle and started probing into the matter. However no arrest was made so far in this regard.
