Gujar Khan: CPO suspends 2 officers for negligence
GUJAR KHAN: According to the Dawn News on Sunday, the Rawalpindi city police officer, Raja Mohammad Wasal Fakhar Sultan, during a surprise visit to the Kahuta late on Friday night suspended two policemen for negligence.
During the inspection, he suspended a policeman Mohammad Aftab for patrolling without his official weapon and asked him to report to police line.
The duty officer of the Kahuta police station, sub-inspector Abdul Majeed also failed to give satisfactory answers to the CPO and he was also suspended and directed to report to the police lines.
Later on, the officer visited Aarhi Syedan police picket where the officials were found performing their duty according to the standard operating procedure of the police. The CPO announced appreciation certificates for all the six policemen including an SI.
Mr Wasal while talking to newsmen said he would pay surprise visits to remote areas of the district to ensure effective patrolling during the night to discourage a trend of ‘proxy-patrolling’ by the policemen.
