Karachi: Religious activist killed in Bohra Pir
KARACHI: As reported by the Dawn News on Monday, a worker of the Sunni Tehreek (ST) was shot dead by assailants near Bohra Pir early on Sunday morning.
Police said the incident took place within the remit of the Eidgah Police Station. Station House Officer Tariq Imran of the Eidgah Police Station said the incident occurred at around 3am in a narrow street close to a compound in Bohra Pir when unknown suspects riding a motorcycle opened fire on Kamran Qadri.
The victim suffered a single bullet wound in the head and died before he could be shifted to hospital, police said. The victim was also riding a motorcycle, they added.
The police shifted the body to the Civil Hospital Karachi for a postmortem examination. An FIR (141/2010) was registered under Section 302/34 of the Pakistan Penal Code at the Eidgah Police Station on the complaint of the victim’s brother Irfan, the police said.
