Lahore: 3 drug pushers sent to jail

LAHORE: As reported by The News on Tuesday, the Additional District and Session Judges on Monday convicted three drug pushers nominated in different narcotics cases.

Additional District and Session Judge Muhammad Azam has awarded eight months jail term to a drug peddler namely Shahzad Masih. The court has also fined him Rs10,000. In case of default, he would undergo a further 15 days imprisonment. The Millat Park Police had arrested Shahzad in January and recovered 285 grams of hashish from his possession.



The same court in another narcotics case awarded 9-month imprisonment to Muhammad Arshad for possessing 510 grams of hashish. The court fined him Rs15,000. In case of non payment of fine, he would undergo a further 15 days jail term. The Ghaziabad Police had arrested Arshad in 2009.

Meanwhile, Additional District and Session Judge Muhammad Ajmal has jailed Abdul Jabbar for four months and fined him Rs5,000. In case of default, he would face a further seven-day imprisonment.
