Lahore: Man kills wife, son in the name of honour
LAHORE: As reported by the Dawn News on Tuesday, a man allegedly killed his wife and a six-year-old son with a sharp-edged weapon for ‘honour’ here in Gulshan-i-Ravi area on Monday. The police found Aasia Bibi and her son, Waleed, dead at the upper portion of their house at Nonarian Chowk with their throats slit. They also found her husband injured and shifted him to hospital.
The police later took him into custody and deployed policemen at the hospital suspecting his involvement in the double murder incident.
Reports said suspect Liaquat Ali informed the police about the incident, saying some unidentified men murdered his wife and son and also injured him on resistance.
Model Town Division SP (Operations) Ali Nasir Rizvi said Liaquat’s another son, Abdul Manan, 4, told the police investigators that his father first killed his mother and then his brother with a dagger. Manan said his father later injured himself with the same weapon. Quoting Liaquat, the SP said he suspected that his wife had relations with a man of the same area.
