Karachi: 2 TTP men remanded in police custody
KARACHI: As reported by the Dawn News on, a judicial magistrate on Tuesday remanded two suspected militants in police custody till Nov 2.
The CID police arrested Sher Rahman and Zainullah alias Bilal on Oct 25 in the Sohrab Goth area and claimed to have recovered illicit weapons and explosives from their possession.
The police also alleged that the suspects were associated with the proscribed Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan.
They were produced before Judicial Magistrate (Malir) Aslam Sheikh for remand. The court remanded the suspects in police custody till Nov 2 and directed the police to produce them on the next hearing.
The suspects were booked in six cases under Sections 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty), 324 (attempted murder) and 34 (common intention) of the Pakistan Penal Code and Section 13-D of the Pakistan Arms Ordinance, 1965 and Sections 4 and 5 of the Explosives Substance Act at the CID police station.
