Accused flees from Karachi court
KARACHI: According to the Dawn News, a suspect fled from the city courts premises after the dismissal of his pre-arrest bail application in a bounced cheque case. Waqar Khan through his lawyer had filed a pre-arrest bail application in the sessions court. Judge Jangu Khan dismissed the plea after hearing arguments from both sides.
However, the suspect managed to make an easy escape in the presence of the investigation officer shortly after the dismissal of his bail plea. According to the prosecution, the suspect had issued a cheque for Rs0.7 million to the complainant, but it bounced. A case (FIR 323/2010) was registered under Section 489-F (dishonestly issuing a cheque for repayment of loan etc) of the Pakistan Penal Code at the Kalri police station.
