Bara: 1 killed, 10 hurt in roadside blast
BARA: As reported by The News on Thursday, one person was killed and 10 others, including a noted elder of Malikdinkhel tribe, were injured in a remote-controlled bomb attack near Qambarabad Market in Bara Tehsil of Khyber Agency on Wednesday, local sources said.
The sources said Amal Gul, a would-be head of the proposed peace lashkar in Bara, was heading towards his house in Nala area from Niaz Market when his double cabin pick-up was targeted with a remote-controlled bomb planted on a motorcycle parked on the roadside.
The tribal elder and 10 others were injured while a taxi driver, Hassan Khan, was killed in the blast.
Besides Amal Gul, his two grandsons Israfeel and Noor Afzal and his driver Misal Khan were also injured in the attack.
The rest of the injured included Ashraf Hussain, Saiful Malook, Naseeb, Suleman, Iqbal and another tribal elder Arbab Khan.
