Multan: Kidnapped woman thrown on road after a month of sexual assault, torture
MULTAN: As reported by the Express Tribune on Thursday, an 18-year-old married woman was thrown on a road in Chungi-6 on Tuesday, after a month of sexual assault and torture by her abductors.
Sadia Ashraf*, a resident of Katcha Phatak, Nadirabad was found unconscious by the Gulgasht police, and was taken to Nishtar Hospital.
Sadia, in her statement, disclosed the names of the criminals. She said that she was kidnapped from her house by her next door neighbours Umer Hayat, Younis, Azam, Farzana and an unidentified man on September 26.
She told the police that the accused had forcibly entered her house, tied her hands and taken her to Shujaabad.
She said that she was kept in an empty house and sexually assaulted.
She said that they also tried to force her into prostitution, and had beaten her when she sturdily refused.
When her condition worsened, she said, she was thrown on a road.
According to her husband, when he returned from work on September 26, the main door of their house was left open and the household items were dispersed.
Sadia, he said, was nowhere to be found. When he went to the neighbours’ house, where the accused lived, it was locked, he said.
He came to know that Umer Hayat was last seen coming out of their house.
On October 26, Gulgasht police informed him that Sadia was found unconscious on the road in Chung-6.
Her husband has registered an FIR against the accused in Muzafarabad police station.
The police said that a number of abduction cases were already registered against Umer Hayat.
They said that he was involved in abducting young girls and forcing them into prostitution.
