Lahore: Court convicts 2 drug pusher
LAHORE: As reported by The News on Wednesday, Additional District and Sessions Judges on Tuesday convicted drug pushers nominated in different narcotics cases. Additional District and Sessions Judge Chaudhary Azam has awarded a six-month confinement to Nazeer Ahmed after he was proved guilty of possessing 115 grams of hashish. The court has also imposed a fine of Rs. 15,000 on the convict. In case of default in payment of fine, he will further undergo a 15-day imprisonment. Baghbanpura Police had arrested Nazeer in January.
Meanwhile, the same court, dealing with another narcotics case, has awarded an eight-month jail term to a drug peddler namely Muhammad Siddique. The court has also imposed a fine of Rs. 10,000 on him. In case of non-payment of fine, his jail term will be extended for 15 days.
