Mansehra police seize 3,000kg of explosives
MANSEHRA: As reported by the Dawn News on Wednesday, Mansehra police on Tuesday seized a huge quantity of explosive material and detonators, which were being transported to Gilgit. According to police, a heavy contingent of police, headed by ASP headquarters Mohammad Ali Zia, intercepted a convoy of four vehicles near Ghazikot Township and recovered 3,000kg of explosive material, over 3,000 detonators and six repeater guns.
Six people, including Irfan, Noor Mohammad, Mohammad Zahoor, Fakhar Tauqir, Ishtiaq and Maraz Khan were also arrested. Police have also impounded a truck and three pickup vehicles that were transporting the contrabands to Gilgit from Haripur. District police officer Sohail Khalid told reporters that investigation had been launched after seizure of the explosive material.
