MARDAN: As reported by The News on Thursday, suspected militants blew up the Government Girls Middle School here in Par Hoti late Tuesday night.
However, no casualty was reported in the explosion, the Police said.
The explosives triggered by a remote-control device damaged the school in Abdul Haq Baacha Banda in the limits of Par Hoti Police Station.
The device exploded at midnight and as a result a room of the school was partially damaged.
Meanwhile, militants blew up another government-run school in Safi Subdivision of Mohmand Agency on Wednesday, tribal sources said.
They said the militants triggered with a remote-controlled device the explosives they had planted at the building of the Government Primary School at the Bar Sagi Village in Safi Tehsil.
A major portion of the school building was destroyed due to the blast.
