Attock: Couple threatens to commit suicide
ATTOCK: According to the Dawn News, a dejected poor couple has threatened suicide in public if their three-year-old daughter, who went missing in 2007, is not recovered by the police within 15 days. Adalut Hussain and his wife, who live in Sheenbgah village, narrated their ordeal before Regional Police officer (RPO) Hamid Mukhtar Gondal at an open meeting he held here on Thursday. They suspect that their daughter, missing since July 20, 2007, was kidnapped by four ‘influential’ villagers.
They said police have registered a case against ‘influential’ kidnappers but were doing nothing to recover their daughter. At the open meeting, Mr Hussain said he has no clue about his daughter’s whereabouts, adding that if she was not recovered within 15 days, he and his wife would commit suicide in public. RPO Gondal assured them that police would make every effort for the recover the girl within 15 days.
