Karachi: Rickshaw driver gunned down near Kalapul
KARACHI: According to the Dawn News on Friday, a rickshaw driver was found shot dead in his three-wheeler near Kalapul on Thursday.
The area police, however, were not clear whether the murder was the result of some personal enmity or was committed during a mugging attempt.
They said 27-year-old Juma Khan was found dead with two bullets each in his chest and abdomen inside his rickshaw parked along the railway lines near Kalapul.
He said the family of the victim believed he was killed by bandits though there was no clue suggesting the murder was executed during a robbery attempt.
“The cellphone of the victim was found in his pocket though the wallet was missing,” said the official, adding that the FIR (379/2010) under Sections 302 and 34 of the PPC was registered on the complaint of the victim’s father, Gohar Rahman, against unknown suspects.
