Karachi: TTP leader remanded to 14 days judicial custody
Karachi: As reported by The News on Friday, Judicial Magistrate (JM) West Arif Rajput sent on 14 days remand to judicial custody a senior member of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). Yousuf alias Qari was produced in the court on Thursday amidst tight security, planning to attack important buildings. He was, however, produced in the court in a case pertaining to 13-D Arms and Ordinance Act and was given 14 days’ remand.
The Crime Investigation Department (CID) arrested Qari during a raid in Mominabad area of Orangi Town after a brief encounter and recovered arms and ammunition from his possession. According to police he was involved in planning and executing the Mingora suicide attack in August 13 and was also planning terror attacks in Karachi. The accused is a senior member of the TTP and belonged to Moulvi Fazlullah group.
