MiranShah: Militants publicly execute 3 ‘US spies’
MIRANSHAH: As reported by the Dawn News on Monday, militants shot dead three alleged American spies in front of a crowd here on Sunday, witnesses said. They said that masked men brought three blindfolded men in two pickup trucks and sprayed them with bullets near a petrol pump along the road. About 100 people witnessed the “execution”.
This is probably the first time that militants have gunned down people in front of a crowd here on charges of spying. A large number of people have been killed in the area on charges of spying for Nato forces. Local Taliban believe that US-led Nato forces have hired agents for spying on their activities.
“Armed men fired a volley of shots on three people and left a piece of paper on them before leaving the area. Two of the deceased were identified as Naseerullah and Nek Nawaz who both hailed from North Waziristan,” one witness said. The note on the bodies said those killed were `American agents`.
