Karachi: 7 militants remanded for 6 days
KARACHI: As reported by the Dawn News on Friday, seven suspected militants were remanded into police custody for six days in a number of cases on Thursday.
The CID Police claimed to have arrested Qari Dawood Farooqi, Nafees Abbas, Ikram ul Haq, Muhammad Shahid, Muhammad Abdullah and Naushad from Peerabad and Iqbal alias Bajauri from Manghopir after encounters and stated that they were associated with banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ) and Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), respectively.
The suspects were produced before courts of two judicial magistrates in around ten cases and they were handed over to CID Police on physical remand.
The suspects were booked under Sections 353, 324 and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), Sections 13-D and 13-E of the Arms Ordinance and 4/5 of the Explosive Substance Act at the Peerabad and the Orangi Town police stations.
