Peshawar: Women, children killed in militants attack
PESHAWAR: As reported by the Dawn News on Friday, a woman and her two children were killed, and two others injured, in a massive pre-dawn attack on Adezai village by militants on Thursday. Dilawar Khan, chief of the vigilante Adezai Qaumi Lashkar, told that at least 30 heavily armed militants launched the attack around 1:30am with missiles, rockets and other heavy weapons. A missile hit the residence of villager Raj Wali, killing his wife Zakia and their two children Javeria and Faisal.
Two other children injured in the attack were brought to the Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar in serious condition. Khan said the militants attacked the village from three sides but his volunteer militia successfully repulsed the attack.
