Karachi: Police arrest ‘Target killer’ of MQM activist
Karachi: As reported by The News on Monday, a man suspected to be involved in the recent targeted killing of a Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) activist was arrested on Sunday by the Al-Falah police. The suspect is believed to be associated with a political group.
The police said that an FIR had recently been lodged with the Al-Falah police regarding the killing of MQM activist Abdul Majeed. The complainant had nominated four persons in the report. During the course of investigations, the police conducted a raid in the Millat Town area, and following a brief resistance, managed to arrest a man named Ghulam Mustafa. A pistol was recovered from his possession, the police said, adding that the suspect had been shifted to the police station for interrogation. Further probe is under way.
