Lahore: In-laws of Kamran Akmal plundered
LAHORE: As reported by The News on Monday, robbers looted valuables including gold ornaments and cash worth Rs 1.5 million from in-laws of cricketer Kamran Akmal in Iqbal Town police precincts on Sunday. Salman, brother-in-law of cricketer Kamran Akmal, told the media that he along with his mother Riffat Ilyas and other family members was going to his uncle’s house in Khyber Block, Iqbal Town.
As they reached outside his uncle’s house and were about to park the car, two motorcyclists, equipped with sophisticated weapons approached them from behind and held them hostage at gunpoint. Salman claimed the robbers snatched valuables worth Rs 1.5 million including a diamond ring worth $ 1000, 25 tola jewelry, an imported wristwatch, mobile phones and cash from them and managed to escape from the scene.
