Kohat: Police free 2 brothers, nab kidnappers
KOHAT: After a brief shootout with criminals in the no-go area of Sumari, police on Monday recovered two brothers who were kidnapped a few days back from Muslimabad.
According to police, a group of kidnappers, headed by Said Gul, had abducted two brothers Sardar and Aftab and demanded Rs2.5 million as ransom for their release.
Acting on a tip-off, a police team led by DSP Saddar Ehsanullah Khan conducted a raid on the hideout of kidnappers in Sumari mountains. The kidnappers opened fire on seeing the police, but had to surrender after a brief shootout.
The police recovered the two brothers, and arrested the ring leader Said Gul along with a kalashnikov and several cartridges.
The Jarma police have registered a case against Said Gul and started investigations.
