Lahore: Teachers, students manhandle headmaster
LAHORE: The Govt Muslim Model High School for Boys plunged into lawlessness on Monday when some schoolteachers, with the help of students, ransacked the office of its headmaster and allegedly manhandled him.
It is learnt that the teachers were angry as their services were placed at the disposal of the EDO Education by the headmaster before Eid holidays over allegations of being involved in shirking official duties, interfering in administrative affairs and private tuition.
On Monday, the teachers demanded their restoration but the headmaster denied which led to the situation to get worse.
The protesting students also demanded immediate restoration of their teachers.
The headmaster, Javed Iqbal, told the media that the accused teachers were surrendered for being involved in interfering in administrative affairs.
