Larkana: Man loses daughters in gambling
LARKANA: A woman, Tajul Khatoon Tunio, of the town of Laloo Rounk has alleged her husband Dhani Bakhsh Khaskheli for selling four daughters in gambling.
Talking to journalists outside the press club here on Monday, along with her daughters and brother Ahmed Ali, she said that her husband, who was a gambler and drug addict, had sold four daughters namely Rubina, 10, Shabana, 8, Kanwal, 6, and Rashida, 5, to Saleh Patoojo, Sattar Patoojo, Sikandar Mughiri and Niaz Mughiri for Rs30,000, Rs32,000, Rs40,000 and Rs55,000, respectively.
Rubina and Shabana had been sold about two years ago while Kanwal and Rashida about one year ago.
After developing a difference over the issue, she sought divorce from him on Nov 12 and was residing with her brother Ahmed Ali Tunio in the same village, she said.
On Nov 17, her husband enter their house with the alleged buyers and asked to hand over the girls, she said. When she refused, they started fighting which left her father Habibullah, uncle Rehmatullah and close relatives Muhammed Ali, Deedar Ali and Muhammed Juman injured.
She called for protection and arrest of the attackers.
