RAW agent held in Bannu
PESHAWAR: The security forces have arrested a suspected agent of the Indian spy agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) from Payo Khan Koroona in Janikhel town of Bannu District, sources said.
“The Indian national was held from village Payo Khan when locals suspected him to be a suicide bomber. He told the villagers after they got hold of him and later grilled him that he was on a ‘three-day mission’ to the area,” the sources told The News.
The sources said the 27-years-old man was identified as Kalan Raaj, son of Chambeli, Hyderabad Deccan in India.
The source disclosed that the man had been arrested on November 22.
A police official confirmed that an Indian national was held by the locals and was later handed over to the security authorities.
