Gujar Khan: Negligent ASI booked
GUJAR KHAN: On the instruction of CPO Rawalpindi Mohammad Wisal Fakhar Sultan Raja, the local police have registered a case of negligence against an ASI.
The residents of Bewal town brought out a protest rally against the local police on Tuesday, accusing them of negligence in handling the kidnapping and murder case of a Suzuki driver. Mohammad Zain went missing on October 30 and was found dead in Mirpur last week.
Mohammad Younis, the father of the deceased, lodged a complaint with the police who stopped short of registering a case. The police took into custody three accused persons – Mehtab, Mazahar and Aurangzeb – but later set them free.
On the protest of the relatives and the local residents, the CPO ordered registration of a case of negligence against the ASI, Naseer Rehman.
