Dadu: 2 nominated in girl’s suicide case
DADU: A local trader Zafar Ahmed and an unidentified person have been nominated in an FIR lodged at the Dadu Town Police Station for murdering a young girl Saima Memon here on Thursday.
The FIR had been registered on the complaint of girl’s father Mohammad Rajab Memon, under Sections 302 and 109 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).
Ms Memon, a student of Government Girls College, Dadu, had committed suicide with a pistol on November 26 allegedly after her boy friend’s refusal to marry her.
In his complaint Rajab maintained that Zafar and Saima had been friends since 2006.
During his last meeting two weeks ago, Zafar had expressed his willingness to marry her. According to Mr Rajab, he had also accepted the proposal but later Zafar backed out of his commitment.
He said that after Zafar’s refusal, Saima became jittery and committed suicide and shot herself with the pistol belonging to her friend. No arrest was made till the filing of this report.
