FIA nabs human traffickers in Sambrial
SAMBRIAL: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Wednesday claimed to have arrested two alleged human agents in a raid and recovered several passports and other documents from their possession.
On a tip off, an agency team led by Inspector Muhammad Hanif reportedly raided a house in Sambrial, Sialkot District, and arrested Raja Sajjad Ahmad and Gulfam Ahmad.
FIA Deputy Director Shahid Husain said the accused were wanted by the agency in a dozen cases of human trafficking.
They allegedly sent scores of people to Greece and other countries of Europe after extorting hefty sums from them.
He said most of these people were later deported by the countries they had been trafficked to.
